A journal for entrepreneurs, with a mentor that pushes back

By The Architect team · Last updated

We make Architect (formerly The Architect). What this page says about the app and The Billionaire was checked against the app itself on October 29, 2026.

The short answer

Architect is a private journal for people building their own thing: you write or speak what is on your mind, and a mentor answers what you actually wrote. Pick The Billionaire and its replies give you the counterargument first, its own numbers and the one question your week turns on. It remembers what you wrote, and when, so last month's promise can come back beside today's page.

Free to start, no card. What you write is encrypted on your device, the key stays with you, and it is never used to train AI.

Why entrepreneurs keep a journal

A journal gives you somewhere to write down why you made a decision while the reasons are still fresh. Architect answers that entry, and can bring your earlier words back into view when they matter.

The Billionaire is the mentor most fitted to a builder's week. The app describes it like this:

"Polymath. Counterargument first. No validation, no flattery, explicit confidence levels. Generates own numbers."

It is not impressed by effort, only by results and clear thinking, and it wants you to win. It asks things like "What's the highest-leverage thing in front of you?" and "What's the version of this that compounds?"

What it sounds like

The Billionaire

You: "Launched the newsletter, still running the course, and now a friend wants me in on his startup. I'm excited about all three."

The Billionaire: "The startup would make it three projects. I'd put moderate confidence on attention being the constraint, not excitement. What would it displace? Tell me what I'm missing."

You: "The newsletter. And it's the only one that's growing."

The Billionaire: "Then joining the startup would take attention from the newsletter. What would you say no to so this could actually be great? I'd put high confidence on that being the one variable here, and the answer is yours."

Write the answer down. A month later, when you write about the newsletter again, the mentor can bring that line back with its date. How the memory works.

A journal entry in Architect dated October 16, 2026 about a launch that shipped and walks not yet started, followed by a reply from The Architect that quotes the line "I'll start after the launch." from October 12, 2026 in a gold card, then says the launch shipped and the walks have not moved.
After a launch: a reply from The Architect brings back what was promised on Monday, with its date. The Billionaire quotes you back the same way.

Keeping it up

  • A line counts. No prompts to fill in. Write one sentence after a call, or a long page on Sunday night.
  • Speak it. Voice Input takes dictation in your own language, detected automatically. The Sitting (beta) is a spoken, hands-free conversation with the mentor, saved to History.
  • Work on your laptop. It runs in a browser tab, next to everything else you have open, and on your phone too.
  • Lock it. Turn on PIN lock in Settings for a lock on the app itself, on every plan.

Want the other mentors? The AI mentor app page has all four; what Architect is covers the whole app.

Free and paid

The Billionaire is on every plan. Choose it in Settings, Your mentor, or switch to it in the middle of a conversation. Writing is free, and every entry saves. The free plan includes 11 full mentor replies, then one reply every 7 days. No card is needed.

The paid plan is $33 a month, $299 a year, or $9.99 a week. It adds replies with no daily cap, Ask The Architect (questions answered from your whole journal) and Insights, the patterns that keep coming back across your entries. Every number is on the pricing page.
